Ways to Help Dealhack

There are some very specific ways that you can participate in the growth of Dealhack and spread the word about the site:

1. Tell your friends!

   We measure our success by whether our users love Dealhack so much that they want to tell everybody they know about it.

   If we haven't yet inspired you to that level, we're not doing our job. Let us know what it would take to convert you to our biggest fan and evangelist.

2. Link to Dealhack.

   If you have a web site, we would appreciate a link placed within the textual content of your site. Please link directly to www.dealhack.com. A few anchor text examples are shown below:

   • bargains on tech and consumer products

3. Link to specific pages within Dealhack.

   Please feel free to link to any of the Buyer's Guide articles or to a specific deal on the site. However, please keep in mind that deals are usually deleted after about 90 days to keep the content on the site fresh and accurate.

   Here's how you can link to any specific deal:

   1. Click on the title of any deal to go to the dedicated page for that listing.
   2. Once you are on the dedicated page, copy the complete URL from the address bar of your browser.
   3. That URL will always link to the dedicated deal page as long as it is live.

4. Tell your friends in the press.

   Dealhack is actively seeking press coverage. If you know any reporter on a business, tech or shopping beat please tell them about the site. Also, we would appreciate any suggestions or introductions you can make.

5. Help us help you.

   Do you write for a publication and need insightful commentary regarding the world of online shopping?

   Do you need a knowledgeable engaging speaker for your next conference?

6. Write a review of Dealhack.

7. Mention Dealhack in your blog.

8. Subscribe to Dealhack content.

   Do you have a MyYahoo! page or Bloglines account? Why not add Dealhack to your incoming feeds? You'll be helping us to generate links and getting access to great Dealhack every day.

9. If you have the Alexa toolbar installed on your browser, please stop by Dealhack often.

   Alexa is a service owned by Amazon.com that maintains traffic and link data for every site on the web. For people who do business online, it is often the first place they go to size-up a potential business partner.

   Alexa tracks traffic for every page online by gathering data from users who have downloaded and installed their toolbar. A side benefit of installing the toolbar is that it gives you immediate access to traffic and link data for any site you are viewing through your web browser.

   If you don't have it installed, but are interested, download the Alexa toolbar.

10. Send us a testimonial.

    If we can, we'll post it on the site. Include your name or initials, city and state (we'll assume it is ok to give you credit unless you ask us to withhold the information; however, we'll never provide your contact information).

    Any comment is great; we especially enjoy Haiku testimonials!

11. Add Dealhack to your del.icio.us bookmarks.

    Each page in Dealhack is enabled with an "post to del.icio.us" button (found in the subscription column to the far right of the page). Clicking on the button will automatically add that page to your del.icio.us bookmarks. Be sure to add a "dealhack" tag too.
