The TuneStudio was a long time coming: it was announced in January 2007 and has only recently begun shipping. The TuneStudio features recording directly to an iPod docked into the device. It also includes a multi-input mixer with XLR, 1/4-inch, and RCA inputs with three band EQ. It can also be connected to a Mac or PC via the USB digital interface. It also includes monitor and headphone outputs, recording level LEDs, and built-in compressor control. Use this device for quick music sessions and extended podcast recording. It's compatible with a variety of iPod models including 2nd and 3rd generation nanos, Classic, and 5th generation Video.
Shipping adds about $8 leaving this a good total cost deal. The TuneStudio is also available at Amazon for $191 shipped.
UPDATE: Some good deals don't last long: J&R bumped the price back up to $200 and Amazon nudged the price up to $195 shipped.
