 Get the ZyXEL PL-100 Powerline Ethernet Adapter for only $36 shipped at Newegg. The PL-100 features support for data transfer of up to 85Mbps between nodes when connected via regular home power wiring. Powerline networking works best in newer properties, but can be blocked if the connect points are on separate power circuits. In general, though, it's a great higher speed alternative to wireless networks. You'll need at least two devices to serve as connection points although up to 16 can be put on a single power circuit. Each PL-100 can be connected to a network hub or switch further expanding the number of connected devices supported. The adapter carries a two year warranty.
