The Lumix DMC-FZ18 feature 8.1 Megapixels and a 28mm wide-angle Leica DC Vario-Elmarit lens for 18x optical zoom. For macro shots, the wide-angle setting lets you shoot all the way down to one centimeter from your subject, while the telephoto setting can be used up to one meter (3.28 feet) from your subject. With the Extended Optical Zoom function, zoom power is boosted to around 28.7x (in 3-megapixel resolution mode). The DMC-FZ18 has a rotating 2.5-inch LCD TFT active matrix display. Supported flash memory formats are MultiMediaCard, SD Memory Card, and SDHC Memory Card. Program settings include portrait mode, party/indoor, surf & snow, night portrait, scenery, fireworks, sports mode, and more. It has a built-in microphone and video capture options up to 848 x 480 at 30 fps. Camera connections consist of USB and a composite video/audio output.
