The Harmony 628 is configured directly using your computer with the included software and USB cable. It draws upon Logitech's Internet-hosted database of remote codes for thousands of devices so you don't have to program each function, but instead just select the equipment by model number. You can also program complex operations into a single button press (like turn on your DVD player, TV and receiver then select the correct inputs to watch a DVD all in a single press). The Harmony 628 includes an LCD display for showing contextually relevent menus depending on the equipment being controlled.
